This Introduction to Permaculture class offers a foundational understanding of the principles and ethics that guide sustainable living and ecological design. Students will explore the core ethics of permaculture—care for the Earth, care for people, and fair share—while learning the 12 guiding principles that support resilient and regenerative systems. The class will also cover the history of permaculture starting in the 1970s and its evolution over the last 50 years. This class provides the tools to start integrating permaculture concepts into everyday life and work.
